ABOUT US
After two years and a half years of representing the interests of Queensland Models the demand for our services to be increased to Australia wide is now so strong that it is obvious that this is the correct direction to go in.
As such the Queensland Models Association will cease to operate on the 31st December 2012.
We are very proud to say that over the last two and a half years we have addressed and come to an agreeable solution with every complaint that has come our way and we appreciate everyone that has worked with us to achieve this.
We are very proud of the Queensland Model Industry and extremely proud of the models and photographers who were inducted into our Hall of Fame.
Thank you to everyone that has worked with us over the last two and a half years.
Your assistance and support has been very much appreciated.

HALL OF FAME
The Queensland Models Association Hall of Fame has been established to recognise the achievements of Queensland Models in the model industry and beyond.
Also being recognised are the industry professionals who make such an important contribution to the success of our models.
The Queensland Models Association and its members congratulates our inaugural Hall of Fame inductees whose photos and profiles appear below.
HALL OF FAME FEMALE MODELS

Alyssa was born in Brisbane in 1982 and currently lives in New York. Her modelling career began when she won the 1997 Girlfriend magazine model search.
Since then Alyssa has appeared on dozens of magazine covers around the world including Vogue, Elle and Harper's Bazaar. She has walked the runway for designers such as Giorgio Armani and Gucci and has featured in many ad campaigns including Ralph Lauren, Garnier, Calvin Klein and Chanel.
From TV advertisements for Flake chocolate to music videos for Lenny Kravitz to appearances in movies such as The Devil Wears Prada Alyssa has conquered every aspect of the model world and is a very worthy inductee into our hall of fame. Alyssa was quietly married in early 2012.

Elaine George

Elaine George gained instant nationwide recognition in 1993 when, at 17 years of age and on a day out at Dreamworld, she was discovered and was soon booked to appear on the cover of Vogue becoming the first aboriginal model to ever do so.
The Vogue cover generated massive amounts of publicity and contracts in Sydney, New Zealand, Italy and America soon followed. The next few years saw Elaine permanently based overseas moving between Australia, Europe and the United States. While in Los Angeles, Elaine began dating the current lead guitarist for the rock band KISS.
Returning to Australia to honour parade commitments Elaine met her now husband, realised the big city life wasn't for her, never returned to America, got married and had children and now works as an Aboriginal Child Care protection officer in Brisbane. Elaine no longer models.

Eva Milic

Eva's modelling career has perhaps been overshadowed by her current high profile position as newsreader for Channel 9 in Brisbane.
Eva was a hugely popular model in Queensland and New South Wales and in 2001 was crowned Miss World Australia and competed for the Miss World title in South Africa that year. Eva is one of the most popular models to have worked in Queensland and was well-liked and respected for her professionalism and friendly personality.
Eva used her modelling success to finance herself through university completing a bachelor of business and mass communication degree with a Masters in journalism leading to her current newsreading position. Many believe her studies saw her pass up opportunities on the world modelling stage.
Eva lives in Brisbane and is married with a two year old daughter Lucia.

Kristy Hinze

Kristy Hinze was born and raised on the Gold Coast. Her mother enrolled her in a deportment course where shortly after, at 14 years of age, Kristy became the youngest model to ever appear on the cover of Vogue and would do so again many times.
Kristy has graced the covers of many other magazines around the world such as Cosmopolitan, GQ, Who and Sports Illustrated. Her advertising campaigns have included Victoria's Secret, David Jones and Sportscaft to name just a few and she has appeared on the runway for Paco Rabanne, Jean-Paul Gaultier and many others. Confirming her incredible talents even further Kristy has conquered the television world from appearing in a music video for Marc Anthony to guest starring on America's Next Top Model to hosting Project Runway Australia making her an essential addition to the Hall of Fame.
Kristy married software billionaire Jim Clark in 2009 and they have a one year old daughter named Dylan.

Megan Gillespie

Gold Coast girl Megan Gillespie began her modelling career in Brisbane at the age of 16. This decision would see Megan travel the world modelling for the next 15 years. A large part of her time would be spent in Queensland due to her popularity with local clients and she established herself as one of the most well-known local models Queensland has ever produced.
Megan was a fixture at every major Queensland fashion parade for over a decade and was and remains highly respected in the local industry. She is now married to Queensland developer Tom Ray and lives with him and their two children on the Gold Coast.

Heath was a fixture on catwalks around the world walking for powerhouse labels such as Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein and Versace while also appearing on many magazine covers such as GQ.
In 2005 he was widely regarded as the world's top male model. After 10 years at the top Heath moved back to Brisbane after the death of his stepfather. Since then Heath has established himself as a successful real estate agent.
In 2011 David Jones announced Heath as "Australia's most successful male model" and signed him as the department store's first menswear ambassador. Heath is married with a three year old daughter, Mia.
Michael Butler

Michael Butler was a highly sought after model in Queensland during the 80's and 90's appearing in every major fashion parade for years and would most likely hold the record for the most number of television commercials for a Queensland model.
Extremely photogenic Michael was in huge demand with local photographers and would go on to model throughout Australia, New York and London.
Now in his 40's and residing in Cairns Michael still models on occasion.
Victor Parascos

Victor Parascos set a standard in Queensland modelling for professionalism. Always in huge demand by clients Victor's grooming, presentation and preparation were second to none and he went on to have a career to match any other male model in Queensland.
Branching out Victor completed training in stunt work and used that skill in movies such as "Hercules" as well as devoting himself to acting and appearing in over a dozen movies and television shows.
In 2010 Victor had a leading role in the movie "Beauty and the Beast" playing, surprisingly given his striking looks, the role of the Beast. An accomplished martial artist, Victor is also an experienced television presenter having hosted Channel 9's Queensland Escapes.
HALL OF FAME CHILD MODELS (for work completed under 13 years of age)
Morgan Featherstone

Morgan Featherstone filmed her first TV Commercial at 6 months of age for "Australian Farmers Cheese" and was featured in the "Mikihouse" clothing catalogue at 8 months of age. By the time she reached one she had appeared in three TV commercials, two clothing catalogues and two print ads. Morgan debuted on the catwalk at 4 years of age with her work increasing each year.
At the age of 8 world wide controversy erupted around Morgan with critics saying she looked too old for her age. This led to massive international exposure seeing Morgan working in Australia, Asia, Europe and the United States.
She has been the subject of TV documentaries in the United Kingdom and Germany, has appeared on magazine covers around the world, was the youngest model to ever appear on the cover of WHO magazine and was proclaimed by the media as Australia's youngest home owner after buying a house at the age of 13.
At the age of 15 Morgan founded a registered charity called Models Care which has raised over $300 000 worth of goods and services for charity. Morgan quit modelling at the end of 2010 as the most successful child model in Australia's history choosing to focus on her last two years of high school after missing a year of school due to modelling work.
As of January 2013 Morgan is in Cambodia working in a children's orphanage and no longer models.
